We are proud to announce we will be hosting the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) National Workshop June 5 – 10. 2022. The purpose of this workshop is to provide training and certification events for K9 teams to help them remain proficient in and further advance their skills. There will be over 100 K9 teams in addition to the trainers and master trainers who will be in attendance.
In order to certify and to advance training, we will have many trainers and master trainers from all over the country at this event. In addition to conducting classes for continued education in many diverse topics for K9 teams, they will also offer scenario-based training utilizing facilities and properties throughout Montgomery County. This type of training assists in preparing K9 teams for actual deployments to help ensure success and safety of operation while protecting communities locally and nationwide.
During this week-long certification and training event, we plan to provide meals, classes, and raffle prizes to participants each night and will offer transportation to off-site events for attendees if they wish. We will also provide a hospitality tent near the hotels for nightly gatherings and meals, and there will be a dinner banquet at the conclusion of the workshop.
Additionally, there is a large-scale demonstration planned for Wednesday, June 8th for the public to witness some of the regional K9 teams’ skills on display.
